  1. It would be a strange combination, but i can’t help but think that Lady Gaga was inspired by EA a bit.

    • Well, a friend who didn’t know Emilie Autumn before told me, after she met her in my room, haha! And after I explained a bit about what she does en how and so, she told me that she thinks Lady Gaga is inspired by EA… I only saw Pokerface vid and parts of the others and I’m not really interested in Lady Gaga so I thought that would be strange, but I actually looked it up (checked out her videos) and found out that, indeed, they have things in common… Even the mask on stage… Not the same mask, but both wear one..
Then I checked out the biography of Lady Gaga but actually couldn’t find anything Emilie-related, except of the Ciny Lauper part perhaps…

      But still..

  2. Actually, the interesting thing is that I, too, saw the similarities, causing me to look for a connection. I honestly believe that they are similar because they have many of the same idols and inspirations, which might even be the cause for the similar attitudes and philosophies. They are both fans of David Bowie, Freddy Mercury, Cindy Lauper, techno/industrial music, and strong (sometimes tragic) women. Honestly, they have so many of the same idols it is no wonder they also both love insane theatrics, memorable costumes, frank honesty, meaningful self-written music, and glitter! Oh, and we can not forget they’re enjoyment of kissing girls and love for gay people! (Though I believe those two things were just coincidences.)

I do love both artists. Before Emilie Autumn, I did like pop but it has been swirling down what I thought was a point of no return, but now I have faith again. That aside, other than the fact that they are talented, intelligent, beautiful, strong, honest, and determined; the main reason I love them is because they make me feel as though it is okay to be a beautiful, bizarre girl.

Though they would be an odd combination, I think it would be interesting and possibly beautiful. Plus, I think they would be able to respect each other. They both have a dedication to the music, shows, and fans that is rarely seen.

  4. They are both similar because they don’t care what other people think. They do there own thing. They are both strong women.
