X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Filed under: Movies & TV — Clayton @ 12:22 pm

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is an upcoming superhero film based on the fictional Marvel Comics character Wolverine that will be released in most countries by May 1, 2009. The film is directed by Gavin Hood and stars Hugh Jackman as the title character. It is a prequel to the X-Men film trilogy, focusing on the mutant Wolverine and his time with Team X, before Wolverine‘s skeleton was bonded with the indestructible metal adamantium. The film was mostly shot in Australia and New Zealand.

Set roughly twenty years before X-Men, the film will focus on Wolverine‘s violent past,[1] and his early encounters with William Stryker (Danny Huston). The Weapon X program and his interactions with other mutants will be explored,[2] including his relationship with his half-brother Sabretooth (Liev Schreiber).

I saw it last night and thought it was freaking awsesome!!!

before I saw it I wasn’t sure what to expect. If it was like X-men 4 (with a different name) or a prequel to the X-men stories. And it turned out to be a prequel.

But does this mean that there will also be X-men origins: Cyclops, Storm, etc. ??

Anyways, the movie is geared with a lot of action and cool effects. I freaking loved ever minute of it.
It was also cool to see the other characters of the “X-men” story that you don’t see in the other movie, e.g. Gambit.

I also thought Ryan Reynolds character had pretty cool powers

Cam Gigandet banner

Last weekend I saw the movie Twilight for the third time and surprise, surprise… I was able to kinda enjoy it this time.
And by that I mean that I totally fell asleep the first two times.. hahaha

So I made this banner of Cam Gigandet who plays villian vampire James.

Villians are often way cooler than the heroes…. at least that’s the case in Twilight!

Obsessed [movie]

“Derek Charles (Idris) is a hard working man, employed as a asset manager in a private company. He is very happy with his beautiful wife, Sharon (Beyonce), and only daughter, and because of his hard work he just got a huge promotion. But suddenly he gets a temporary worker, Lise (Ali) who is both attractive and smart, and Derek is understandably impressed with her and also finds himself physically drawn to her. However, this new girl is desperate to get close to him – at any cost.”

I saw it last night and the movie is great :-P
Even scary at times… and by that I don’t mean the movie itself, but the plot. :-|
That girl was totally obsessed and it seems scary to be stalked like that.

On another note it was great to see Beyonce not sing for once in a movie and just be an actress.
Plus I love her fight scene… she kicked *ss…..

American Idol results!!

And who was the winner after all??

Kris Allan

Although I prefer that Adam Lambert would have won, I gotta congratualte him. He tried and the succeed.

I’m kinda bumped that Adam didn’t win, cuz I wanted to see the epic moment…….. :-(

But whatever, Adam looked FIERCE  and boy did he entertain…… and not winning may actually be better, because now he won’t be bound by Idols.

Still I would have prefered the dramatic moment of Adam being crowned.
At least now Kris is stuck with thar crap-tastic song :-P lol

The final showdown!

So Adam killed it last night. His first song was everything we (or at keast I) love about ADAM LAMBERT: dramatic, theatrical and EPIC.
I loved the whole thing. From the entrance, smoke effects and Adam’s outfit.
His second song was also good, and that last song horrid. NOT Adam… he sang it great, better than Kris by a mile. Just as ya’ll said, the song is just a bad song.

I didn’t like Kris’ first song. I liked his second one, and the last one was too high for him.
I do admit that it sounded nice, but some notes were too high for him.

And if I lived in the US I would have voted like crazy for Adam

Kris vs. Adam

So well I didn’t expect Kris to enter the finale.

But then again, his second song was really good. I’ve never been a fan of him, but I gotta admit that I loved that song. And as Simon (or was it Randy) said, better than the original!!

Both songs of Danny were kinda lame. He was my second favorite, but just not this week.
Okay, the second song was slightly better then the first one…. but he fought hard.

Adam…. ya’ll know I’m an Adam fan right

His first song was awesome… although the part where he went into his high voice I liked less. For the first time I was he would just kept singing in the tone he started and finished in. Not that it was bad, I just liked those notes better…. but on the other hand, he can’t let go of his signature voice now can he?

His second song was also awesome.

I can’t wait for the finale next week :P

but it’s aa bit unfair: Kris vs. Adam…. wonder who will win ( )
Danny I would still be in suspense….but who knows, maybe Kris will surpise us, just like he did with the second song of ths week. If he does and wins, I will of course give him kudos.

But whoever wins, we’ll still here both of them on the radio soon enough  (and Danny too).

American Idol: Adam Lambert

I haven’t written much on about American Idol season 8. Except very short when I made that forum set, but just to let you know, I’m following this season just like the previous ones. And this year I have found my ultimate favorite in contestant Adam Lambert, who probably win this season.

Now screw all the controversies around him – the pictures, his past -, the guy can sing and knows how to entertain, just enjoy it.

Adam has been a consistent great performer. They call him theatrical and dramatic, but that’s just the divination of “Adam Lambert” if you ask me. That is what makes him who he is and let him be.

Every week I look forward to his performances every week and he has made history on the show, by getting a standing O from non one other then our favorite judge Simon Cowell. Adam killed that song with the song Mad World.

But my all-time favorite performance of Adam so far on AI is “Ring of Fire”. (see above picture). That performance was so spellbinding and is still stuck in my head. I just had to get that song, so now it’son my ipod. But Adam’s studio recording and live.

This week was steller when Adam stole the show once again. It was rock&roll week and Adam was totally in his zone. From the new haircut to that outfit, Adam OWNED that stage, and he made clear that he’s in it to win it!

That’s why it was an ulimate shock when Adam was in the bottom 2 last week. (Seriously WTF??). I bet the producers switched Allison’s results with that of Adam. (those bloody bastards).

But whatev… very soon a new American Idol will be crowned and my money is on ADAM LAMBERT!!

Moonlight

Moonlight is an American paranormal romance television drama created by Ron Koslow and Trevor Munson, who also served as executive producers alongside Joel Silver, Gerard Bocaccio and Rod Holcomb. The series follows private investigator Mick St. John (Alex O’Loughlin). Mick was turned into a vampire by his bride Coraline (Shannyn Sossamon) on the couple’s wedding night fifty-five years earlier. In the present day, he struggles with his attraction to a mortal woman, Beth Turner (Sophia Myles), his friendship with Josef Kostan (Jason Dohring), and his dealings with other vampires in Los Angeles.

I’ve been watching this TV show for a few months now and it’s awesome.

Vampire themed movies and series are always interesting and Moonlight is no exception.
The only difference between Moonlight and the other series/movies is that this is a story about a modern day vampire and he’s not like the “common” vampires. the fact that he’s in love with a human makes the show even more interesting.

Sadly, the show only has one season, because after the writer’s strike of a couple of months ago, the shbow has been cancelled. This sucks a lot, because the show is great.
I just watched the season finale of Moonlight and they just HAVE to continue the show.
My brother told me before the gave me the season that there’s no more seasons after this one, but it has ended so great and still stuff need to be uncovered.

Come on CBS or another channel… we NEED Moonlight back!!!
