The Poet’s Dream

Filed under: Poetry — Tags: — Clayton @ 3:46 pm

Well now that school has started again for me and I’ll be busy with studying the coming weeks, I’ll probably only find time in the weekends for new graphics.

But now I have a sonnet, which I wrote last night and I hope you like it. :) And your constructive comments are more than welcome… but even if you just like it you can say so.

The Poet’s Dream

When your lips meet mine
I’ll make sure you’ll never forget them
Leaving a warm tender touch
to forever be engraved in your memory

All the emotions will rise
in a profusion of ecstasy
while we dance in the wind
to get another taste of life

When I awake, I realize
that I’ve been dreaming it all
Just a mere fantasy exposed

The inner thoughts of a lonely heart
are revealed at night in dreams
And this poet will dream on…

Broken heart on the mend

Filed under: Poetry — Tags: — Clayton @ 5:30 pm

Finally have I been able to write another poem. For a while I’ve been wanting to, but the words never came out. Or I never got passed one verse. But I just finished writting a new one. And I think the words speak for themselves.

———-

Broken heart on the mend

No longer am I lighting any candles at night
Because I feel it’s all over now
I don’t cry myself to sleep anymore
For I feel the ache inside has gone away
Blown away by the north-eastern winds

Take your eyes away from the mirror
And see that I’ve bid my adieu long ago
Though I’ve been in denial,
The line is finally drawn
And it shall not be crossed again

The battle has been won
And now I sing with joy and pride
For I’ve let go of what has been eating me
Now my mind can finally sleep
Because my heart is finally mending

I wish to forget so I refuse to look back
No more tear stains on the floor
This broken heart has healed
The love that never was
And never will be is gone
