Been accepted to PTC!!

Last thursday I’ve been accepted the Polytenic College.
It’s a local college all about technology. I’ve decided to switch my former university for this one, because this is something I actually want to study.

I’ll be studying Information & Communication Technology (ICT), so in about 5 years I’ll have my bachelor degree in technology, with specialization web applications. I’ll then be a professional webdesigner, instead of a self thought one. yay!!!

Subject: Class schedule

So I wrote about how my vacation slowly comes to an end in my last blog.

Today I had to be at school at 5.30 PM to get my class schedule.

I was very nervous when I was at home. I have no idea who, I just was. I could feel my stomach turning. The nerves got me for no real reason. They went away when I had arrived at school.
The university campus is very big, so I didn’t know where I was supposed to be at. After seeing a few familiar faces – kids who were also at my high school – I followed them and I turned up walking a very long passage.

Subject: Back in school (college)

This week I started school again, after 3 months.
It’s a good thing, because as much as I enjoyed my free time, I also was getting a little bit bored of being at home.
Tuesday was the first day, but that didn’t count, because the teacher wasn’t at school. ON THE FIRST DAY!!!! Shame.
So we were looked after by this guy, who I assume is the head of the school or something. I’m not sure. I was 15 minutes late for class, because I didn’t knew where I needed to be. I found a group of kids, who also sat with me last year in high school, so with them we waited where we were suppose to be. And after 15 minutes we heard that the teacher wasn’t in and we had to be in another classroom.
So we went there and found the rest of the class; we took or seat and listen to what the teacher – or who he is – had to say.

2 busy days… just blogging!!

Yesterday I had to subscribe myself to the university (or college; whatever you want to call it). Which was went quite a bit crazy, because of my own crazy self.

The subscriptions started at 8.00 AM and I was already there at 7.30AM, so I was the fifth person there. After my documents being checked it was time to fill in this long subscription form. And me being silly made a few mistakes and had to correct them, which made the process a bit longer than it was suppose to be.
And when I was finally done I left without my backpack which I had with me. Luckily I was just outside when I realized it was missing, so I turned around to get it. Hoping that no one noticed and that I could just spare myself the embracement. I was all alone there so yeah I had no one to laugh it off. And neither did I saw anyone I know. Well except this one girl I know, but I didn’t see her until I was leaving.

After that a few hours later I had driving lessons. I’m still busy with my theory so no actual driving just yet. The lessons are going quite good, but the questions and situations are quite tricky. Although yesterday I barely made any mistakes, but still I had to use my brain.

And today I was at the doctor. I don’t visit the doctor very often, because I don’t get sick very often (thank God) and I also hate waiting. So instead of my usual doctor I went to this new one that’s nearby and quite new around here (so not very busy yet). Boy, did I regret it. Well there wasn’t a line so I didn’t have to wait long. It’s just the doc’s assistant that was just very chatty with useless info and I wasn’t really in the mood for her chit-chat.

The assistant first started off with one of the last questions I expected: so how are you feeling… I was thinking: I’m in a doctor’s office, how do you think I’m, feeling… okay, I was feeling a bit cranky. Than she went on and on about useless crap. Asking obvious questions talking about subjects that I’m wasn’t interested in hearing. I was so happy when the doctor called me inside.

I was at the doctor for this pain in my right ear. It has been killing me for weeks, but like I already mentioned: I hate doctor’s offices, so I neglected it. But anyway, turns out I have an inflammation in ear, so they hooked me up with antibiotics. So I need to swallow these pills 3 times a day.

So yeah, I’ve had quite a few 2 busy days. I wonder what tomorrow will bring for me.

Ps: I finally found out how to get rid of those ugly pink kitten-mood icons. It was quite simple actually. Just had to click on the link next to it *blonde moment*

High-school graduation

Hey friends,
I’m very happy at the moment. Happier than I’ve been in a long time. I can’t even remember if I’ve ever felt like this. :-D
As you may have read on my status yesterday was my high-school graduation. I’m officially done with that school and on my way to college, now that my diploma is in my hands. I’m officially a high-school graduate.

Last night we had the ceremony. It was really a fun night. The location sucked a bit … well not outside, outside had a nice view on the bridge, but we made it fun anyways. After all, it’s the last time we all were together like this.

So it was taking pictures like crazy. Pose here, pose there. With him and her and that one. Haha, you get the idea. It was very crazy. Crazy fun that is. This is not a night I will easily forget. Neither are the people from school; meaning my classmates, school friends and teachers. I’m actually already missing them now. Though I still will be seeing them from time to time, it obviously won’t be the same… but it’s all goof, because we have precious memories. ;-)

The results are in!!

The results of my 3rd and last test round are in. And all of them went well!
Yeah I’m so happy about this, because I really want to graduate as soon as possible. And with my school results at the moment my status is: passed
But that’s only for the school part. I still have to make the final exams. And both grades will be added up and divided by 2 to get your final results to see if you’ve passed or not. So if I don’t screw up the exams everything should be fine. But I’m staying positive.

Oh and that thing about my Dutch orals: when the teacher said that she expected more from me. I got a 7.2 which is fine with me, but she probably wanted me to do better, but whatever.

I even did “okay” on math. A 5.3 which isn’t the best grade in the world, but still my highest grade for this school year. And really good, since I didn’t get anything until a week before the test.

For my economics I received a 6.7, which I do believe that I could have done better, but I forgot a few things, which actually where in my head, so I was a bit pissed off at myself at that point.

And for my English orals I got a 8.7 which was the highest mark in the class. I didn’t make any grammatical errors, just a few errors about the storylines of the books, but yeah, it was still good and the teacher even said that she thought I was very good.

But enough bragging.

The final exams start in about 3 weeks. On July 14 to be exact. We got our whole schedule today along with rules and other legal stuff about the final exams. Geez, you should see it; I’m surprised they didn’t make me sign some sort of contract.

The oral exams are over!!

Finally the oral exams are over! I had my last one today. Overall it went good (I think and hope). I still need to get my results of the 2 languages (English and Dutch) but I already have my geography and history grades (geography 7.1 and history 6.5).
I’m sure English went great, because English is my subject :P and the teacher and I were just chatting and talking like friends about the books I had to read. It was fun and I wouldn’t mind doing that again (although I rather not and just pass and graduate ;) )

But anyways, I had the last oral exam today: Dutch. And I thought everything was going okay until when I was done and she said: “I actually expected more from you!”

What the F does that mean??? :???:

I didn’t say anything, because I didn’t know what to say. Is this good or bad? An dif it’s bad, how bad are we talking about? But I will get my result tomorrow, and we’ll find out what that remark means in terms of grades. :|

But anyways… I’m glad the oral exams are over and that I don’t have to read a book for school anymore (at least not at this school anymore). These oral exams (except for geography) were all about those 12 books I had to read during my Easter break. And I’m glad it’s over, because I’m longing to read some fictional novels again :P cuz I’ve not been able to do that for months now.

As for the written tests; I only have 2 this round. Math I had yesterday, which went “okay”. Although the time wasn’t enough. I’m not sure how I did. But at least I’ve been able to do more than the last tragic test. So yeah…
And economics I have this Saturday… yes on a Saturday! It’s because the test got postponed from Tuesday (last week) until this Saturday!
Now it’s just studying for the final exams in about a month. Hopefully I can clear those successfully, graduate and say goodbye to this school.

The oral exams

The oral examinations are going pretty good so far. :P

On Monday I had geography, which at first I thought would be hard, but everything turned out to be peachy. I did forget a few things, but luckily the teacher and I are on good terms, so he forced the answers out of me, and helped me out when I was going in the wrong direction. I ended up with a 7.1 which is just fine. :)

And today I had my English oral exam, which went splendid, that I almost didn’t want to leave when I was done. I just love English :D I was just chit-chatting with the teacher and I was just all comfortable. And before we started she said she has high expectations of me (that’s because I’m on of the best in her class  ) So we started talking about 3 out of the 5 books I had to read. I was able to answer all questions and I’m sure I will get a good grade. I just have to wait to get it.

So on Friday I have history, and I still need to read this book. I was busy with it not long ago, but got bored so I took a break from it, but I will go back to it in a moment.

Hopefully these days will pass quick and all successful.

Very busy week coming up!!

Next week I’m gonna have a very busy school schedule. The 3rd and last tests and oral examinations will take place (before the final exams in July). This is the last time to prove what you are worth.
It all starts Monday June 2 and end June 14. Well actually it ends june 10, but one of the tests got postponed until June 14th. ON A SATURDAY!!! But I’m not really complaining, because the amount of things I need to study is a lot and I mean a looot. So I can use all the spare time I can to study. So usually on Fridays I don’t like to do anything schoolwork related, but tonight I must. I’m just online to search some info and than I’m gonna hit the books.

I have loads of theory to study and still have 2 books to read. (remember my reading marathon?). so it’s gonna be a very hectic week and I also will need loads of rest, so I don’t fall asleep while studying and I also need to focus to remember everything and not be nervous. I will also try to meditate to get my thoughts in the right place, because in a time like this I tend to mix and mingle my thoughts and forget them in the end.

So I probably won’t be spending much time online… I will must try, being the internet junkie that I am  wish me luck and I hope everything will go well.

School and such…

So this is how the things went with my crazy old retarded math teacher. First I did all my homework the day before and I was really early at school. I mean earlier than I’ve ever been, because when I was at school only 1 student was already in class.

So after some time passed and some more people started pouring in, it was time for the lesson to start. The teacher got up and started calling names for the kids to leave his classroom. And we asked him what his reason for his decisions were. And he said he doesn’t want to hear anything he wants us to leave. And we refused to leave so he said he wouldn’t teach; which was fine by us. So the lazy old fart started reading his paper. After a while when he got bored with his own lame life he said: okay now it’s time that you really should leave and come back with your parents. And since we still refused he started feeling hopeless and lucky for him (and maybe for us too) our vice-principal happened to walk by so he asked for her help.

Luckily she’s cool and down-to-earth, so we explained to her that this guy is a nutcase and that his accusations are just absurd. That douche bag felt powerless, so he decided to pretend he was still principal of his old school, so he called us out of class to talk one by one to us. We decided to settle for at least that. And all he said is, that we should talk less, pay attention and make our homework.

THAT’S ALL??!! How lame is that. The guy was obviously desperate for attention and wanted to pretend to still rule a school. A big scene for nothing…It’s not our fault that he got degraded. Dude, get over it!!

So now everything is back to “normal” and math is gonna be even more boring from now on.

But anyways, these days I’ll be very busy with studying. The 3rd and last test round is starting next week, although most of them are oral examinations, I still have to prepare myself and study (and by that I mean a lot). And since I get tired I had to drug myself for the past 2 days with energy drinks. They really help me to stay awake; because trust me, I would be sleeping with the lights on and my study book on my face by now

The only downside is that when I’m done and actually want to go to sleep, the caffeine hasn’t run out of my system yet and I’m having trouble falling asleep. Which sounds just like my normal days of insomnia, but different. But oh well, these are the type of sacrifices you have to make in order to have a successful school year.
